Description
Just a quick weekend upload for you.
I was working in the garden and almost walked into this critter's web. We have spiders all over right now. I found the light passing through it's head and limbs to be quite neat, so wanted to share it.
The actual spider is about an inch in length.
Well, back to gardening!

Great shot of the spider hanging by a thread with legs extended. In a way, you're lucky to have different arachnids in your area. Our spiders, the daddy long legs variety, are few and inbetween. Otherwise, all we have around here are protein-eating ants, which are no fun at all.
Splendid macro photo Kort! The light shining through this critters legs and head is awesome! I hope your day is just as magnificent my friend!
Beautiful capture, subject & lighting.
Very good macro and I find the translucent greenish colour very interesting!
real good close up there
You guys sure get some big ones out there. KP
You've captured a spider in its own web, and very nicely, too!
Back to War of the Worlds--with nice depth. Spiderman was never in this league--are they using the Megalo-Arachnoclones to rig telephone and electric lines? The unions will have a fit. If they could only get them gotdang heathen chimps to understand WAGES and WORK! W'all better start reviewing them '50's horror flicks, find out what to do. ACHOO! (superb)

For a 1" spider this guy looks huge! I normally don't have a fear of spiders, but this one might make me jump a little if I unknowing walked up on it. Nicely done here Kort! Aloha!
