Great image Danny! I'm glad your slip into the bog wasn't any worse than it was! I would love to spend some time in this area of the globe! thanks for sharing this fine image! Have a fantastic day buddy!
The fight scene in the Quiet man was a classic, I remember them stopping for a drink in the pub halfway though the fight, absolutely hysterical. Mind the bog of eternal stench! next time you might not get out!
My sympathies for your bog incident - sounds like something I'd do. Love the shot... and the movie.
wonderful view...and perfect details so as the reed that dancing in the wind....lovely place..and so moody..well seen
I know now why John Ford to choice this landscape!! I feel this good atmosphere and with a strange nostaldy at this romantic comedie... Thank you for sharing this one my friend and I hope you have spent a few very good holidays ;) good weekend and hugs...
LOL I have had my walking boots sucked off in a bog before so I know exactly how you felt. Going back in my socks to retrieve them was most embarrassing. You've succesfully conveyed the windiness here & it makes me feel cold just looking at it, I guess you experienced this bit of Ireland as the residents mostly know it - I've been impressed by how calm & warm-looking your last few posts from here have looked! I guess we have this island to thank for taking the brunt of the Atlantic weather before it gets to us here in England. One minor nitpick is that this could have done with a light sharpening IMHO. Very much looking forward to more photos from your trip, all the same. Cheers, Steve.
This is a beautiful place. The contrast of the mountains and the lovely green landscape and of course the stark little white house. Thank you for the lovely photo :)

Impressive scene Daniel....!!! Have a very beautiful lighting and great sense of depth.....!!!
Now I understand why John Ford has choose this place of Ireland... really so peaceful. and with this dramatic sky, that give another dimension. You know that Giancarlo has seen almost 20 or 30 times each movie of John Ford.... Western movies was there favorite one's ! A marvelous landscape Danny. Hugs
A beautiful peaceful scene. I love The Quiet Man and have watched it many times. Sorry you fell into the bog. Thanks for sharing the info and photo.
Looks quite windy here, but such a scenic shot...I had just expressed my concern for saftey in my latest post..having had a couple close calls myself yesterday...my fault, don't drive and try to look for shots, trees tend to jump out in front of your car! Very kewl Dan! Aloha!
Oh..!! beautiful work..!! cool scene...love atmos, my friend.
A thousand years from now, some archaelogy major on a field trip will recover your shoes. Meanwhile, looking at the houses and the beautiful scenery, I can't help but wonder if the folks living there are thinking "I am so bored of this view!"
Your capture is a salute to Ireland and a great film! (I'm half-Irish so I get to say that.) The "bog stuck" story reminds of the time I stepped off a sand dune while walking backwards while looking through the camera. Fell about 6 feet and then rolled the rest of the way down. What we photogs will do to get a pic.
Excellent work!
Such a wonderful peaceful feeling evoked here!!!!!! superb!!!!!
superb shot, i like this white house in the distance, it constructed fantastic perspective, thanks Danny:-)
