Description
This image was created for a 2 part tutorial for Imagine FX magazine, which aims to show how it is possible to model and texture a ship (relatively easily) in the style of Chris Foss - a well known and influential sci-fi airbrush artist.
In this image, I decided to create a lighthouse and seascape, with the 2 figures to add a sense of scale, as well as isolation.
Modeled, textured and rendered in C4D9.6

Excellent work... Maybe more water work instead of Painting the Spray...I really feel that some more Poly spray or maybe a few emitters blowing spray would only enhance this image. Like I said stunning work...

This is a way cooler image than the one you have in the magazine mate (in my humble opinion of course). The lighthouse is an inspired touch. top work that man!

100% Foss! That smoke(?) at the bottom of the rock sea, is that PS work?

Hey folks - many thanks! - the 'smoke' is mean't to be sea spray/foam, but I must admity it needs to be repainted I think - it was done in Photoshop. The rock is a couple of landscape objects with an spd material made from noise, and a photographic texture tile. :)

Simply Fantastic Adam... Hah! LOL don't you think it's ironic that the render with the most viewings in my gallery is the one in which I followed your tut in Imagine FX (Sci-Fi babe/Vixen) At the time I did'nt realise you were 'kromekat' So a big thanks for being so altruistic.
