Description
This home is located in Bath, the first town in North Carolina (1705).
Bath was the haunt of Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard.
Blackbeard is said to have married a local girl (Mary Ormond) and briefly settled here in about 1716.
Blackbeard alledgedly struck deals with Royal Governor Charles Eden, offering him huge payoffs to remain in hiding from authorities while staying in this little harbor town.

What a lovely little cottage. The piece of history is very nice, as so many people think of Blackbeard as only a story character. Great shot and HUGS!!!
