Description
On a hike outside Anchorage we saw these two black bear cubs out for a stroll. It's a bit blurry, but they were across the valley, probably a mile or more away. We watched them for 10 or 15 minutes. Not long after they showed up, momma did too, never letting them get too far away. They were never all close enough together and out in the open to get a decent photo of the three of them. :-(
Before we left the city limits of Anchorage, and long before my camera was out of its bag, we passed a moose and two calves. It was days later before we saw any more, but I will have some moose photos, too. :-)

That is a sight you will never see in SA! Actually... I've never seen a bear irl. Maybe a bit blurred, but I still appreciate the fact that you shared this wonderful find with us. Thank you :0))

I had a similar encounter with a momma, 2 teeners and 2 toddlers, about 20 feet away! They were enjoying a huge crop of acorns in a tall ancient oak tree in Shenandoah. Thanks for the memory jolt!
YIKES! Last year in May I and Steve encountered a bear, we just made trackes the other way...lol. But we took a few pics first..:-)Nice shot of these pair.
