I had my kids pose between these old trees near the lake. Look at that pre-teen attitude showing through. Oh yay... Thank God my little guy is still in kid bliss. They had fun since being at the lake is what summer in Minnesota is all about!

Great Shot ! Brings back memories of days waaaaay gone by :) And, yup, she looks like she's got that "pre-teen attitude" (you better watch out for the pre-teen boys around the ol' campground.) I really like the look on your boy's face... looks like he's cookin' up some mischief LOL thanks for sharing.
Very nice -- and your daughter struck a pose that works very well, bridging the center of the picture (with a non-horizontal line, yet). So how much are you paying your models? :o)

Fab use of the trees as a frame to the two 'Odiettes'! What I also like is that this picture is a marriage of the old and the new, the wise and the innocent. Perhaps I would be 'barking up the wrong tree' (O I am soooooooo sorry I even thought that!) but this would make a wonderful childrens story, how the young learn about the world from the old trees. (If you do it, Dear Lady, 5% of the first print please!!!)
I would like to see the fun they had at the lake... jumping, swimming, running, what else... however, a nice static double-portrait ;))
(And I thought attitude was what photographers -try- to capture!) ;) Terrific shot of a couple of All-American kids.
I like the color and the contrasts - boy and girl, youth against the solid age of the trees, shadow in front of sunlight. Very nice composition, Jodie. Great kids too! Take all the photos you can - they'll be gone before you know it!
Excellent summer image of your children sweetie... Wish my son was still a kid sometimes lol...had my surgery... going to have to have chemo but until then gonna let my body heal I am still so very sore and hurt so much.... Love this Hugs Susan~
