Excellent Wayne, the whirlpool effect is terrific.
Just tripped over this storyline, and blazed through it. I must admit I don't like the style (why imitate old-fashioned line work on a modern computer), but that's simply a matter of preferences, it's a great style in its own right. And your storytelling is super-strong, crisp, clean and to the point! Intriguing start of your story, I'm already wondering who or what is torturing this poor guy's dreams.
OMGoodness, will somebody PLEASE give this poor guy a break! Just looking at him trying to sleep makes me tired! lol The last panel is especially striking, especially if the reader has an empathetic nature. He had just dozed off and then there he is -- no bed under him, no comfy support, no sense of safety... just... drifting... into that mad vortex. I'm usually empathetic, but something about the irony in the last frame made me chuckle... 'cause ain't that just like life! Just when you need the big break it crunches you down a little more.
Poor fellow!
