Description

Ultrafractal 4.02 This one started out a few weeks ago from a start made by Simon Kane posted at the UF Mail List that I tweaked so far into oblivion that he said I might as well keep it as it was nothing even remotely resembling what he'd made. I'd made a sort of geo-fractal background for these shapes that was pretty cool but I soon thought it was too dark and so started a lighter design. I then got WAY into trying to make clouds with a vibe that resembles the excellent work of Lisa Thallauer(Zemela) and stUFf I'd seen long ago by Sylvie Gallet so I used the Nova(Mandelbrot)+fbm formula and spent days coming up with this backdrop. Thanks, Simon for the inspiring start to this one that gave me the opportunity to explore The Phoenix(Mandelbrot) formula and Orbit Traps combo that allowed me to put these shapes together! Thanks for stopping by - hope y'all brought raincoats! :-) Rick ***(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available in limited edition on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! Unique, "one-of-a-kind" (edition size = 1) prints are also available*** :-)

What a wonderful abstract you have created, Rick! Your fbm sky/clouds are outstading. Your main shapes are very well done. You created a great dreamcatcher, and your orbs are just great! You find the best shapes and colors for your orbs! I love how the dark marble is suspended in the open window, and the border around that window is a great touch! The concrete like textures on your left shape and superb. A most superb image and a most superb imagination! Kudoes, my friend!

You do the best fractals. Looks like etched metal. And that one center metallic piece that appears to be held in place by a spider web like material. Wonderful. V

My goodness. Superbly done. Ancient artifact or an alien astronomy device, the texture and detailing are out of this world. Clouds are not easy to create and I can really appreciate your hard work here. They're brilliantly created and perfectly coloured. Absolutely magic Rick, this goes to my favs.

Dude! I know exactly what this is. It's an ancient doohicky for locating big fish. You've correctly oriented the orb holder thingy so the sun glances lightly off the side nearest you. You are looking out to starboard with the wind and a light rain coming from off the bow. The green indicator means "Big Fish Soon". So sit back and enjoy the peace, and know that you have created a truely magnificent work of art.
