Description
A Native American elder once described his own inner struggles in this manner:
"Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time."
When asked which dog wins, he reflected for a moment and replied, "The one I feed the most."

'teeny eyes' [ I remember them from 'somewhere' :) ] of a Lady (you?). I can not explain why but I do love this capture !
I see sadness in those eyes. Innocent and betrayed. But I like it! (sorry I have to say that)
wonderful quotes and makes alot of sense. your capture delves deep into the mind
Intreguing image. Just remember what they say..... Dirty pants? Clean bottom! Rik, the young ones!
thought the eyes we see the soul. And see which dog wins at times. this is super looking
I see hope and many wonderful dreams in these eye. What a wonderful picture.~Therese
A wonderful tribute , from a wonderful spirit!!!
Is this you Marlene? I could drown in those eyes (literally, I can't swim haha). Wonderful image! Thanks for the link to Matasabu!
Oh, thank you very much for a excellent deep philosophical work. Meditating on the life is very wonderful and important. And sooner or later, "That time" will visit us. As is often the case, our unhappiness sometimes becomes a chance to thinking it. (It isn't a meaning "you are so" ) If our life is only happiness, we might not need philosophizing. There is a view "Person's unhappiness is god's chance". It was so for me. The embodiment of this concept is very difficult but you executed it wonderfully!! Thanks again :)
this is a very creative and deep shot. I like it 360...in other words all around.
What I like about this it how your eyes make one look off into the direction you are looking at. Hard to explain, I look up, I look down, I look all around.High key is how it should be, A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know. Excelllent revisit to this one. Have a good week. D
When i stare into those beautiful eyes i can tell that you feed the good dog, but evey once in a while the bad dog tricks you into feeding it... .....this is some heavy stuff...
eyes explains more then spoken or written words...well done
wow - this is impressive! a really good capture - love the strong eyes... and the play with ligth... :) very well done!
Good idea and very creative photo.

great idea ..very creative !
Creative image! Great ida! Indeed!Super!!V
This is beautiful, superb artwork !! Love the quotes too !! :)
Fabulous idea and excellent full sensibility image!
Deep thoughts. It is often hard to reflect upon yourself, but in this image you force the view to do that by confronting them with "their" own reflection. Some people don't like to look in the mirror because perhaps they are not so happy about which 'dog' is in dominance. Each quote tugs one deep into introspection yet is a clarion call to 'wake up' and live righteously for the now. Excellent photo and thoughts!
wonderful eyes. a very beautiful dedication for Matasabu, i like his art a lot,too.you are a great friend,Marlene ! * HUGZ * #:O)
Impressive work, Marlene, and sometimes people are not aware of such a thing, or, need the help of others on their way! Thought-provoking work, love it!
Well, I'm certainly glad I clicked on this work ( in more ways than one ) first, the work is excellent, and second, I see another artist who loves quotes probably as much as I do ! ...I had heard the first one before, only it was titled "Two Wolves" guess it really doesn't mater though :o) loved all the others too ! hugs
Thank you for all the lovely thoughts in prose 'n' poetry! V (: ...oh!...and the photo is cool! I like the perspective!
I absolutely loooooooooooooove that native american-quote. The more i feed Eija...the more she poops though. #:o/ Gorgeous photo Marlene, really expressive. I saw at a different site, a category called "Emotive Portraits", and this could be the poster-shot for that. Excellent work. Have a wonderful day! #:O) ...ps...about living life to its fullest. I finally got the grasp of that idea...but it took quite a carcrash to make me realise how precious life really is. #:O)
Fantastic image. Impressive and very creative work!!!
OH Marlene! You are such a beauty ...inside and out! :-) I love your deep look into yourself in this image and what a terrific shot it is! Excellent tones in the black and white too! That gives it more drama I think. I also, along with everyone else above, really enjoyed reading your words and the quotes. :-) A true joy, as always, to visit your wonderful gallery. Also a sweet dedi to your friend who I will also have to visit now. wink Have a great weekend sweet lady!! (((Hugs))) VOTE
