Description
This is a better view of the back of the administration building. We are standing in the gateway in the wall from yesterday's image.
This is definitely a much grander farm house than the earlier, modest stone building. The dark metalwork on the roof and along the eaves is copper. The guttering on this place gleams.
This old farm was probably a tobacco plantation back when. The public road at the entrance to the grounds is called 'Rolling Road.' The historic marker says this is because hogsheads (huge casks) of tobacco would be rolled along it from the plantations in the area to the seaport at Elkridge Landing.
Comparing the two structures, this place was quite prosperous.
OK, no one picked up on the odd feature... I'll run a better view of it to see if anyone notices it. It's definitely more striking from outside the wall we are standing at. It's very noticeable from inside, but I think the actual OMG... THAT's what those are! impact is lost.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

Beautiful capture, but I don't distinguis any odd features (yet). Lovely architecture, something very recognisable! Terrific work!
this was a grand old mansion once,... i am glad they are putting it to good use!
