Description

This started out as a test render, positioning the branches and the treepython - to be used in a "full scene" render which I'm planning to make. Well, I was so impressed with the snake (DAZ), that I decided to make a little more than the naked test. So I found a photo on the web and used it as an alphaplane background. Of course this is a sort of discount render, but anyway :) Vue5I, Poser, Onyxtree (only the foreground branch) & Photoshop (for a little tweaking with the levels). 0.6 mio polys rendered in little less than 1 hour, Global Illumination and "User Settings" with Hybrid2.5D DOF. Fantastic Python freebie by DAZ. I know many of you probably don't like snakes, hope you like the picture anyway :) Comments etc. very much appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars

WOW! Fantastic close-up. Love the gnarled branches and of course the snake. :) Perfect integration of an alpha. The whole composition looks extremly realistic. Love it. vote

oh ick oh ick!! I hate snakes!! I have that python too from DAZ which looks remarkably like Noggin's which I also have and only used once in a render and NOT hanging from a tree where it could fall on my head! lol

The snake is made so plausibly, that I am afraid of a sting. I think, that it is the big success of the artist.

I don't like snakes, I don't like VUe and I don't like YOU! I am uninstalling VUE and going back to my crayons and construction paper art. VOTE

whistles You call this a "discount render?" I think NOT! A discount render would look like two different images haphazardly slapped together. Excellent work on this. V
