Description
Wondering what a bright light could do. Set this up in my backyard. Set the intensity of a parallel spot to 999 with no falloff. I was hoping to burn something, but nothing happened. Then I looked up and saw the smoking hole on my neighbor's house and the house next to them and the next one, and the next one....

very very interesting
Cool and very interesting experience frog.....!! Beautiful colors and reflections......!!!
Interesting indeed....I tried that once too...aimed the light at my wife's computer....she was looking at this website called Beekcakes and Other Studs at the time....she complained that the light beam was aimed at just the wrong spot and for me to cut it out...gee, I thought it was the right spot too.
ROTFL!!! So THAT'S what happened to my siding?? :)
Now I guess you have to repeat it with a negative 999 light and patch things up!
Great stuff! News from Frogdot's Bryce laboratory ;-)
Another brilliant image combining creative concept, humour, and superb technical chops. Thanks for the chuckle!
What an imagination dave.....as you got to the third house burning, I could envision a dogs house in the back yard where the beam put a hole in the rear and kept going...(= This piece has a visual illusion attached to it, very well composed!
Beautiful experiment.
Superb experiment!
Interesting image, not bad! 8-)
