Description
Made this for a competition that called for water. Didn't win but I like this one for some reason. My biggest complaint is the water running down his arms and back is a bit too high and I'm still not really good with postwork to fix that.
I am experiencing computer problems and am on and off the system. Very frustrating but I have some good people trying to help resolve it.

Looks like a winner to me. Excellent work Nancy! BV
"rain drops are felling on my head..." hahah had to say that [part of a John Deaver song] This is real good work to me
Xcellent work here !!!
I love the power in this one Nancy. It is a great picture.
Love the dense rain!! And the tension in the image!! Rain drop effects look good to me! Reminds me of some Will Eisner stuff!!
wowza nancy this is super ;D the rain is awesome and your big dude blends in perfectly for me ;o)) another winner in my eyes ;o)) VOTE ;D
Sorry about the PC problems, know how that feels. This is just awesome..I think the water looks wonderful and gives a very realistic atmosphere to this wonderful image.
Great mood and scene Nancy, looks like an old fashioned shower...just flush yourself ! hehhe, kool rain FX, maybe a few splashes bouncing off his head and shoulders ? just a suggestion, LOL & ~Cheers~ :o)
Well done heavy rain and effective lighting. Beautiful orange. I like the effect of splashes of the body. :)
That's me a couple of days ago, (got 100% soaked in the rain). If that's "real" raindrops with motion blur, i bet this took lots of memory & awhile to render! I like jif3d's comment - A cartoonist might emphasize just a couple of bouncing/running drops to really make the concept obvious. How you do that in bryce is not simple, so I think you've done all you can - ;-) then give it a go in Maya?
That's one big bad dude! Great render! Don't know what to tell you about the water. Actually, it looks fine to me. It would be splashing and splattering off him if the rain was hard enough, so it's alright IMHO.
Looks great!
this is really cool!
Super image nancy'cant help with the rain' but it looks ok to me........another good one.
Wow Nancy this is superb! A lovely powerful image. Your character conveys such tension and strength and the rain enhances the whole concept. Love the muted tones with the splash of orange. Great!!!
Bravo Nancy! Cool work :)
Really well done. I think the rain looks great.V
Great work. The rain effect works for me. Lighting & composition create a very powerful & dramatic image...
Very powerful scene! The postwork is excellent and it looks from the water bounce on his body that the rain is very heavy!
Nothing to complain about here, as I see it. Good lighting.
Excellent scene and rain...cool done!!!:o)***
Well, this should have been a winner. I thought it was better than mine. Love the mood and tension here and I think the water/rain looks perfectly fine. You know what it is and that's good enough for me!
quite interesting ! dark and intense atmosphere !
excellent creation!!!!!!V
Awesome work!!!
Just fantastic as usual
The rain effect is very well done. He even looks like he needed a good bath. 8-) Fantastic lighting and atmosphere. You didn't win?! If you want I'll send my hero to talk with the contest's organizers... although on second thought, maybe that isn't a good idea after all. 8-) Great scene.
Great Scene, Love the rain!!
Superb scene... the mood is awesome !
Looks pretty good to me. Great character and excellent rain effect. Top render. ---- Scott.
