Description
The next few shots in this series will be of more technical interest than artistic ( Well I am an Engineer! ;0) )
This is a close up 'portrait' of Lady Isabella's 'face' that is presented to the valley.
The crest is Triskillion the Manx National Symbol. Strangely, despite Romans never having invaded our shores, the motto that normally is seen garlanding it is in Latin:
'Quocunque Jeceris Stabit.'
Whichever way you throw him, he stands.
For some reason it was omitted for this rendition. :0/
Notice the walkway is on the right and the impressive beam tie-rod assembly to the left as viewed here. Bear this in mind as it should help orientate you for the next few shots in the series.
I do hope you are paying attention at the back! ;0)
