Description
I found this while hiking in Medoc Mountain State Park, in Halifax County, North Carolina.
It was about the size of a pack of cigarettes, and I just loved the pattern on the underside of this fungi, which was somehow broken away from it's original anchor point.
I'm not sure of the species.
Thanks for looking, have a most beautiful day!
