Description
Painted in Painter and PhotoShop for 2D Forum's March Theme "Rubbish".
When a woman is aging, gaining fat, and not looking anymore that young and beautiful, and healthy; some, actually far too many, in our society are ready to move her to trash, away from sight. It might be quite hard to keep up the dignity and will to live in this kind of superficial society.
Some features in our so civilized society are all rubbish! Can you give me here better, and stronger words for that? :-)

I don't think you need any better words when your image speaks so clearly & in such a striking & evocative way Titta! There is so much feeling in this painting it takes my breath away, she looks so very alone as she faces her uncertain future virtually cast out by society but she still shows such dignity & courage how could anyone not see her beauty?! Stunning piece of work & an excellent interpretation of the theme, love it! ; )

Your image really illustrates your point here- I saw your meaning even from the thumbnail pic before I read the comment. For the record, it affects men, to a lesser extent, also. We only age outside- inside, we grow much better!

A thought on beauty. Real beauty isn't perceived through the eye, it's felt, and moves you to the point of weeping. Your painting is a good example of this.
In ancient times before the rise of cities and patriarchal religions, women (especially elder women of the tribal unit) were revered. If the world ever moves toward some sanity, that again will be the case. Excellent painting. V

what to say here... ?!? i don't know, it's a true story... it's sad the way it is and the strange thing is... all of the society will experience this... but they continue with the same "old behaviour"... this is such a strong pic, dear titta... i'm in awe... thanks for showing... and pointing at this weired behaviour of our society... zillionsofhugs
Poignant and deeply moving subject Titta, which you have expressed with great sensitivity and truth. The sense of longing for a return to youth stands out in your painting, as does the sorrow at not being accepted as she is now. Excellent work of art!

Really important things aren't an object of interest in the public, or? Never. Sad to see the lost wings in your wonderful image, but don't be sorry Titta, to get older also has some advantages ;o) because you have seen this sociial trash already enough times in your lifetime and you can see through it!!! Climb onto this trash hill and spit on it ;o) LOL
