WOW, Troy!!!! This is absolutely gorgeous! Especially with the ice covering it up that way! We (our family) calls these flowers Butterfly Kisses. They attract them. The technical name? No idea darling! Gorgeous colors on this flower! Transplant them to flower beds!!!!!!!
Could aliens, invading front yards, be pink? Hey Troy, I did read your article and I even wrote a comment, but that was (wisely) TOSsed away ;-) Lucky for you LOL! Have a pretty day!!

This is way beyond beautiful!!! V
It is lovely Troy the frost or heavy dew does not help to Identify it but I suspect this may be Slender Bush-clover (Lespedeza virginica) a member of the pea family
OK, the official name of this plant is Purple Deadnettle (Lamium purpureum). Sorry I hadn't the time to research it earlier, but here you have it. Thanks all!
Wow, these Lamium flowers have been shot perfectly! Love to see the details with the tiny droplets on them! Excellent work, verrrry beautiful! :)
Sublim capture and colors , it's splendid!!! Bravo :)
totally awesome capture! the ice crystals makes this. the flowers actually look like an orchid petals
Gorgeous image! If the plant is this pretty, maybe it's a good idea to let it take over the yard, especially if you don't have to mow it!
Beautiful! VOTE
wow, looks fantastic, excellently done!!!! :=)
Lovely capture with the ice crystals. I too have wondered what this flower was because I have a yard full of it as well. I have 2 distinctive types. One is a lot paler in color and prefers shadier spots than the other. The foliage is also slightly different. I have tried several times to capture the beauty of this flower but never with the success you have shown here.
WOW i wouldnt mind it they took over my front yard !! they look like lavender sugar crytals with the frost!! ...Beautifully captures !!AWESOME photography!!
