Wow...THAT is immense! Did the Swiss Family Robinson buy a car? Thanks for the info on a tree I shall never see. :0)
OH MY GOD!!!! THAT`S ONE HUUUUGE TREE!!! Chop it up and it would last me 3 winters....oooh...but of course we wouldnt would we? No Sir, lets keep this big one up there. Awesome capture with that car giving the tree an impressive sense of scale. Have a great day. #:O)

I agree with nathalie! As I said, for me, Africa is the realm of all wonders!!!
Now there's an impressive specimen! What a monster this is, glad it's growing there and not in my yard as it would completely take it over..Disney in Florida put up a fake tree like this that is a landmark in the African Safari exhibit...in the trunk they made an 400 seat auditorium..Nice of you to include the car here to give this tree scale...Impressive shot here Piet! Aloha!
Ein Prachtexemplar - wonderful Photo - und so sch "gr"
this reminds me of some trees near Miami. different species but still a really huge trunk. thanks for sharing this and the links
Wow! Never known trees like these could age this much! I though Pinus aristata did the job with about 4000 years! Impressive work, Piet, it's a stunning tree, very wide and not tall at all compared with that! :)

That is one big tree. Thanks for all the info
This is an excellent photo, and one to keep for the upcomming generations, for who knows how long before Africa axe it down. Nice work Piet.

Thanks for sharing. looks nostalgic because I have worked in Africa.
Brutus! A masculine tree yet not very tall. Very impressive find. Aloha
I like the shot with the car in picture to show the size and awesome life of this tree, I would however have got the whole tree in the shot by stepping back as far as possible.
Not many trees that you could actually park a car inside. Very interesting shot of this monster tree!
Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet photos of the southernmost baobab. Thank you for posting it along with such comprehensive information. I really appreciate it and the dedi! =]

I love trees..to many being cut down. Thanks for sharing this interesting tree with us.
I find words like "interesting" and "cool" tree in all the comments above. Do these people know that the Boabab is actually one of SA's ... What's the word I'm looking for? "characteristic"? What do you think of when you see a Boabab? I think of Louis Trichard, I think of the Bushveld of SA, I think of my country... Lovely presentation.
Stunning! Love the scale!!
Still like coming back to your gallery. Great photo/history. and its been awhile since your last post, hope all is fine thanx ;-)
