Description
Mount Mazama erupted about 7,500 years ago. The result was Crater Lake which is 6,100 feet above sea level, over 1,900 feet deep and six miles wide. Wizard Island is the attempt of the volcano to renew itself. It is truly the jewel of the Cascade Mountains. This summertime view is a montage of two photos combined with photoshop.

@PeeWee05: It is two pictures stitched together. I took them purposely to get a panoramic view of the lake. The left side of the picture did have high and light clouds, hence the different colors of the sky.
