Description
The image was taken on another walk on a cold February day in Lancashire - UK.
The sun was getting low but I liked the warmth of the sun across the valley.
The building is an old farm house ruin dating from about 1850.
The area was famous for its cotton mills but prior to the industrial revolution all the farms and dwellings would have had one room containing a weaving loom
to subsidise the income from the farm.
At the lower part of the valley you can see a reservoir. All the farm dwellers were forced out of their homes because of the human and animal waste was poisoning the reservoir.
Thought a bit of history adds a bit more interest to the image.

I like it. The foreground detail and the path taking you into the picture is very effective. Would it help that inner push if more of the sky was cropped away? Cliff.
SWEEEEET!!!! What a gorgeous composition!!!! I love how the straws bend forward to that ruin. And the cloudscape is really gorgeous as well. Excellent capture! Have a great day #:O)
Great image. I like the way the viewer is lead up the old beaten track off into the horizon. Perfect colour tones and exposure too. Thanks for sharing :)
