Description
Where frogs always seem to be smiling, the toads always look P.O.'d. I noticed that he had a hair on his face when I uploaded the photos and decided to go out and try again but he had dissapeared. Hopefully the hair isn't too much of a distraction. Anyway, this is a Southern Toad and actually I think it's a she because it has a light colored throat. Thank you for your much appreciated comments and have a wonderful evening!

NICE! So photogenic too! I love toads and frogs! OK, I confess ...I love all amphibious creatures. Great capture Wendy! Up close and personal like! Have a most excellent Tuesday.

Awww!!! Someones woken up on the wrong side of the bed it seems. Hmmm.....were ya gonna eat that fella? Cause it looks like you spretzled him with some salt, lol. Perfect POV! Have a wonderful day! #:O)
The hair is a part of his life. Beautiful.
Excellent macro!!!
Absolutely wonderful shot!
Oh, this is awesome! You have become my macro guru!
Awesome macro!!! Bravo :)
She looks like she was digging around in the sand a little bit! Toads seem to have their own little 'grumpy' personality about them. I would've loved to have gotten this close to that frog I took. (Earlier upload) I didn't have the right lens for it then though. Ya know... in a way she reminds me of how my Mom used to look first thing in the morning. LOL!!! Fantastic shot Wendy!! I love your images!!! Vote
I love the little fingers of the frogs, so sweet and round ! Yeah they always seem smiling ! Cute and great portrait, Wendy
Ha ha, love that expression on its face! Grumpy... 'hmpf, are you gonna shoot me now, well, you'd better do it fast cuz I have some other things do do!' LOL! Gorgeous work, Wendy, love it, and forget about the hair, it's not disturbing at all (at least, not for us! :)
WOW! She is lovely:)!!!
Maybe that hair sticking to her is why she is grumpy. Or else she ate too much. She's looking pretty plump. Great photo.
