"My, what big eyes you have!" "All the better to see you my pretty." A Great Horned owl (Bubo virginianus) in a reflective moment. Perhaps you recognize HIM? ----- Thanks for your "a little off the top" comments on my last upload, Hometown Barbershop.

Nah, dozing. Too much night life, or is it domesticated or zooed? Best to become acquainted in the wild, under the moon or in twilight over many long years....WHOOSH. Did you hear muffled HOOVES?
wow that close up shot is super
Impressive shot ! Very good technique.
Very nice! Those eyes are the last thing a rodent sees... maybe not such a bad way to go, eh?
Did you actually find the owl? I love the crisp look of the eye. great cropping
what an amazing bird and an equally amazing shot!
OOOOO oooooooo OOOOOOOO
Fascinating POV, beautifully captured. Awesome image Kort, thanks!
This is really weird. I have been listening to an Owl hoot outside our house all night long, non stop....and then i see this image. WOW. What a strange coincidence. Beautiful shot. In many cultures, hearing an Owl hoot is a harbinger of death. I am getting a little nervous here with this owl outside and then this image. Last time I heard an owl do this all night hooting for days, my father had a major heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery. I didnt even know it until after a week and I thought back to the owl. I will let you know if anything happens like that. WOW. EEK.
LOL now that I've seen the other,maybe she's contemplating your proposal!Another beautiful capture ...of your new,horny friend.I'm sure you'll have a hoot and a howl together!-M :^P
Seems to be comtemplating biting something! :0)
