Description

Wroclaw, 2 hours challenge (1) Wroclaw, alongside the river Oder, is one of the main towns in Poland. Wroclaw has approx. 650,000 habitants and a beautiful center with the main square as the center of the town. I have been quite a few times to Wroclaw, always for business. All I had seen from the town was from the taxi, in side restaurants or from the hotel!! . Once I had the chance for a little walk on the main square, in the evening, together with Michel (GiMi 53). Last Monday the 13th of Feb, I had the opportunity to see a little bit more, arriving at the hotel at 15.00 hr from the airport and my first appointment at 17.00 hr. I have given myself the two hours for having something to eat as late lunch, the challenge to make a photo impression of the main square in winter time and to be dressed on time for my 17.00 hr appointment to be followed by a working diner. Hope you enjoy viewing my photo series with the impressions of Wroclaw on a winter Monday afternoon, temperature around freezing point and no sunshine!! Have a very nice evening Henk

this looks straight of a lowry. lawerence stephen, british painter ...it has that style of penetratration and compassion.. doesnt have the wry perspective of life, but expectations of a new world.!!! have a wonderful weekend the other side of the noordzee..... print this frame it plave on a wall.. its pure ART !!!!!

Wonderful capture of this Polish city! Although the sky is grey the colors of the houses are exuberant, I'd expect them to become dull but they are just vivid, adding to the friendly mood here! Excellent work, Henk, a joy to see this on our side of the Noordzee! ;)
