Description
thought I would post my version. after looking at it on my computer, I realized someone was looking out one of the windows on the top left side. For anyone that does not recognize this building, it is the School book depository where Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated President John F. Kennedy. The window in the thumb is the one he used to kill the President. I took this from the Reunion Tower observation floor.
thanks for viewing and comments. hope you have a wonder friday and weekend

And so be it history is once more captured within the lense of the present to show us the children of the future the horrors that once was!!! Excellent photography mate!!!...:))
I knew it instantly Richard. It has been forever etched into my memory with that horrible day! Excellent photo.......
Great shot! So crisp! And how creepy!!! Who is that up there? The lone gunman's wife?
How interesting... a building with a terrible story behind. Amazing the light on it !
WOW! What a different view . I think you have captured the solemn aspect of this historic building and if it weren't for your explanation on your commentary, I would have liked it anyhow :) A grisly reminder of how some can take their minds warped visions into their own hands. A wonderful photo and well documented post !!~******~!!
Certainly the divergence between the architech even of this somewhat unimaginative design and a man with a gun overhangs the complexity of that moment.
Very interesting image!Thanks!!
Forget not the past, lest you be doomed to repeat past mistakes in the future... very nice catch, very good reminder...
Awesome take of this historical building. Excellent work, Richard!!
awesome and i enjoyed the facts about the building
Never seen, thank you for this historic doc and picture ! Your thumb enigm is attrative ;) !!
Excellent shot, very intersting. Thanks for sharing!
Pretty cool that there happened to be someone standing in one of the windows! Fantastic shot!
I recognized the building as soon as I saw it. However, I never did, and still don't believe that Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated President Kennedy. I think a group within the government had him assassinated. There are too many things that never added up, in my opinion. And I have watched probably every documentary done, unless they have made a new one in the last 2 years that I don't know about. It is a building with a presence.
Perhaps it's like a museum, they make some visit!
That's a sad part of history... Thanks for sharing!
oh wowww..!!! l believe l was only like 7 months old... but it assassination happened on my mothers 21st birthday... l can see the person.. excellent perspective and stunning light.. .. a slight shudder..!!!! sublime richard... :)
Recognized it immediately. Thanks for posting this piece of American History.
Impressive photo....!!! Geat point of view....!!! Beautiful effects of illumintion.......!!!
This is scarey stuff! Not just the history behind this, or how instantly I recognised the outlay of the building; But, for some wired reason I thought it was a 3D rendered model o-o LOL. I think I'm spending way to much time in the rendered reality! LOL! BTW, fantastic shot Richard! I glad you were across from the building shooting and not in the other window! ;) Bravo!
Excellent work very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can we forget this building!!! I think it was a black day not only for America also for Europe!!!!! Thank you for showing us again!!!!
Gives me chills thinking about it. Time goes by so fast, but not memories like this one! Really great shot Richard! :)
What a building with so many tragic memories:( Great shot tho...I still don't believe Oswald killed the President that fateful day...and like Snow Angel said this gave me chills thinking about it.. Excellent capture Hugs Susan~
