Description
A little sci-fi this time.
Easy to make crater - make mountain, put on texture. Create another terrain, apply a different texture, turn it upside down, place on top of the first terrain. Select first terrain, then also select the second terrain, click on difference in drop downs (in menu on top). That's it. You will have to experiment to get it just right. Didn't use proceedual terrains. Have fun.

interesting idea.I have just always used the crater function in the editor and searched for a good shot,which isnt always 100% I for one will try your idea,thanks for the input.

excellent job just like the other person said your moon in space a planet or eany planet that has a moon or moon's not one looks the same i'm a star gazer or planter watcher texture , sky ,lighting is excellent make it more like real life go to space.com keep up the excellent art work

Actually, the moons are brushes made from NASA photos. All three are made from totally different moons. So, I'm not sure what you are talking about. - Bob
