Description
If you want me
You can find me
Left of center
Off of the strip
In the outskirts
In the fringes
In the corner
Out of the grip
When they ask me
"What are you looking at?"
I always answer
"Nothing much" (not much)
I think they know that
I'm looking at them
I think they think
I must be out of touch
But I'm only
In the outskirts
And in the fringes
On the edge
And off the avenue
And if you want me
You can find me
Left of center
Wondering about you
I think that somehow
Somewhere inside of us
We must be similar
If not the same
So I continue
To be wanting you
Left of center
Against the grain
If you want me
You can find me
Left of center
Off of the strip
In the outskirts
In the fringes
In the corner
Out of the grip
Suzanne Vega - Left of center
I really like this song and I always thought that "left of center" was meant as a location.
Only very recently I heard the term used for people (in the BBC-series "How to start your own country"), meaning people who are a bit odd, but nice (prettig gestoord).
I must admit: I always thought my whole family was a bit odd, including me!
And now I make fractals, which must look a bit odd to lots of people.
So definitely "left of center" ;-)
Have a pleasant evening.
Yvonne

i agree, i mean about the family, a bit different, including me. dont know the song, but i like the lyrics and find them very much in line with the fractal. we must defenitely be sisters. never saw in words what i thought, or for that matter, what you thought.im impressed.
interesting lyrics and format-well ballanced yvonne..love the sphere :-)
Love that old Suzanne Vega song! And a beautifully odd composition too!...it's sweet how you sister communicate through your work...:)
Cool composition! I like the plane and the orb is neat, too. Nice job, "Lefty"! lol (takes one to know one, eh?)
I'm not left of centre, I'm pretty normal. Love the fractal.
