I'm delighted that you took the time to view/comment. Have you ever been in a storm where you heard the sizzle before the crack of thunder? Have you seen the bolt strike and the pieces fly apart, the actinic light still dazzling your eyes? I hope you enjoy :)

Only a couple of times, it sure scares the hell right out of you! Great representation of this electrifying event, an interesting and fascinating fractal!
No, but I HAVE been standing in a downpour at night on Eau Gallie Causeway and leaned my elbow on the METAL tracks of a large crane with it's boom sticking straight up about 60 feet during a lightning storm. A bolt hit the water maybe 50 yards away and I got a pretty good jolt from the e-field - about like grabbing a sparkplug wire while the engine is running. REAL dumb! lol I was shocked, to say the least! har har! Oh yeah, the fractal - I like this one a lot, Viv. I like the shiny texture of the shapes, the color scheme and the contrast of the smoothness with the cool patterned background. Nice'un!
I can't imagine a better representation of a lightning strike, Viv. And it also quite a beautiful fractal. Well done.
Nice shapes and textures. Lightning is awesome to watch! If only the thunder could be encoded in JPEG as well as you did the lightning.
This is great work! It's full of interesting shapes and the title is to the point.
Got it right, Viv! Great blues:-)
Dynamic and utterly superb !
