I've always loved it, desired doing it, but not very good at it.

Huh! Looks great to me! Good job on framing it; it reminds me of medieval wall hangings! The thumbnail made the lion look like a Rhesus, though. :) If you put a point light next to the flame, it will look more realistic--and brighter!

It looks great to me. I love the King! I agree about the point light too but I don't know how to do it myself - would have to experiment.
I like it. I like animals and Lion is the King. And sure I love women that is our mom-friend-lover on this world. Perhaps misteel said to paint a little white color or to use Dodge tool from Photoshop to make brighter the flame. Nice scene.
