Description
In contrast to the big trees I posted last week here, are these Subalpine Spruce.
This photo is also in the Canadian Rockies, at about 1500 meters, latitude 52 degrees north. This is just about at timberline, so anything that grows here has a hard life. These trees are fully grown, although I can't say how old they are; I wasn't about to cut one down to count its rings. :-)
In the background are Mt. Edith Cavell and Angel Glacier. There is a really pretty lake down below, I'll post a photo of it tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by and perhaps leaving a comment.

Excellent shot! The trees are Great! Like Bonzai Pines! :) Good job!!
CHRISTMAS-TREE HEAVEN!!!! They all would make a perfect tree in my living-room instead of the plastic one we have now. That mountain in the back...WOW!!! Beautiful capture, and splendid idea to include the woman to give some sense of scale to those trees. #:O)
Lovely shot, Love the background! Nice catalogue pic!
Lovely shot! The mountain looks great and the trees are so cute!
A wonderful photo. The mountain and snow pack/glacier are fantastic. Interesting about the trees. Lovely lady with a big smile.
This is amazing. I'd never have known they were full grown. WOW.
What a beautiful mountain, glacier and trees (and the lady, too). I know for sure now that a trip to Canada is in our future.
It's a very beautifully scenic area.
Oh wow, adding her in the landscape makes her look a giant in the forest! :) Love to see the glacier in the hanging valley up there! What are those horizontal lines, are these artifical? Excellent work, very fascinating!
The framing and backdrop are wonderful, and I find it fascinating that these are fully grown trees. Thanks for sharing this, Dennis. I really appreciate the opportunity to see all these natural wonders.
