A wonderful scene. Everything - sky, surface layers, strata, and water - is beautifully done.
The striations definitely shock on formations that in nature are upthrust igneous rock. It is as if arrow heads were discovered made from limestone, powdered, mixed with shale and then sand and water to form concrete. So art has disposed of one more limit.
