Description
This is a view looking east from Rowena Crest, Nice site here at the very east end of the Columbia Gorge.
You can see the Union Pacific Railroad and Interstate 84 on the right, and a tug with barges on the left, heading downstream to Portland, quite possibly carrying wheat for export. The river is a very important sea-level route through the Cascade range.
This photo is a bit dark, but it was about 10 minutes before sunset, and the light was fading. From my previous two postings, you can see that the light that day was never all that great to begin with. :-)
Thanks for stopping by, and any comments on this and previous posts. They are most appreciated.

Great shot. I'm loving these.
Great composition. the light adds to the image, giving it a kinda dreamy quality.
Fabulous capture, it's so interest to look to all these details! Excellent work, just love it! :)
Now this looks so very pretty and scenic. Even if I have seen this place, it still amazes me at how beautiful the country is...
You, Lori (Uniquedreamer), and Steve (PhotoSmith) should be paid by the Oregon Tourism industry for all the beautiful pics you post promoting the beauty of Oregon.
Many thanks to Barbara for her gracious comment above. As for "Multi-use," photography has to be the best! LOL A wonderful "Oregon" image. Well, OK, we'll give Washington a bit of credit...
A very beautiful view. Makes me a bit homesick.
