Description
518 dreamed while Narchi went to get the Heavy Beam weapon for Toxic. He never dreamed before, so it was novel, to say the least.
Distant became near and near became far. All places became here and now. He saw a weeping girl throw a baby from a flying city. He saw a tall Scav with a god-like presence look at him. He saw a multi-hued woman being paraded down a street. He saw a million places and things in an instant.
He saw a blonde woman with an eye-patch and a HYVAP rifle shouting at him, "518! We have to go! We have a lock on her position and we need to go rescue her! What are you looking at?" She reached for him, and he reached out to her.
He awoke suddenly with Toxic pinching his nose hard. She looked at him and shook her head. "You shouldn't do that! That is rude, you know. Like reading people's minds and such."
Narchi yelled from the outside of the APC, "Got it! Let's do this!"
Toxic looked 518 in the eyes as she got up painfully. She said softly, "Do NOT make omelettes of the eggs of time! Just don't!"
518's heart was pounding in his chest as she went outside. He then hoped what he had just heard was all part of the dream.
