Well, I just had a few thoughts about the kind of images I like to do... and decided to stick to the things I can see in my mind instead of the things that others would like to see from me. The latter is taking away a lot of your own creativity and sooner or later you get stuck with no ideas left at all.

Well that is the best statement I have herd in a thousand years. Art should be about what we ourselves love. The bonus is that other people see the beauty that we see in our own work. I think this is just beautiful, and you did an amazing job on the lighting. That is something i struggle with all the time. Well prop's to you for this most excellent image... Vote from me as well.
Well, that's what you need to do. It's probably why you started in the first place -- it was for me, at any rate. Anyway, on this particular image, I really like the lighting and the way there's a slight blur of the figure that meshes well with the mottled background, giving it a very painted feel, like a soft watercolor.
