thanx a lot for all your kind comments on my latest upload! i appreciate it.
here's a minor tweak of this image. besides the colors i've changed the second-sphere (or is it the minute-sphere?!) it is much thinner now and the gap is slimmer. the needles are conical now and the small one is brought to the front. the antialiasing is better (after the hint of Silgrin)

Wow, the only thing I would guess: Improve the highlight on the big blue ball. It seems to be way too fat for me. Metallic balls have very small highlights cause they reflect a lamp quite clear without much blur.
