Description
Submerged -work in process-
Working on bubbles, a long way to go but here is a start.
The scene was created and posed in Daz Studio and then the crude bubbles added. Do not know how to apply normal maps to Daz Studio cameras, so was forced to use PosRay to convert and PovRay to render the final composite scene.
PovRay allows all sorts of camera lense distortion effects. The bubbles here were done using an image map of a seperate PovRay render of thousands of oval scaled spheres. Appling this to the render camera as a normal map and like magic, bubbles everywhere. If interested, you can see a few other images with camera normal tricks in my earliest gallery postings here at the big "R".
Both PosRay and PovRay are free, great adds to a 3D tool chest, and are highly recommended.

A clever effect Mike. PovRay is one of the first rendering apps I tried, but with a learning curve of near vertical I very quickly gave up on it!!!
Incredible reflexions. I wish you would teach me how you make things reflex like that.
I tried Povray but did not know what I was doing so I stop too sd timr wouldnot let me
Great effect Mike, reminds me a ,ittle of those plast disc curtain things that hang in door ways, know that is not your idea, but I always have my own, love the little faces, very clever work, and lit is always so very good. V Lina
This is extraordinary! The concept in itself is a great idea, but from the idea to realizing it so perfectly, whatever you did, you did it right. And not just the technical - this speaks to me on so many levels. I used to sit and watch the rain for hours. Yes, I know, these are bubbles, I got that. But I see it as a window pane with raindrops. Just my personal take on it, lol!
Mike, u're great! This render style is so unique! It's a great starting point and i'm sure u'll get better result very soon (even if i think THIS is justa great result!) The bubbles effect is so strange and beautiful! I don't know deeply PovRay... i tried it some time ago, but it was too difficult for me ^_^' Anyway i saw some PovRay renders and they appear so nice!
Fantastic to say the least, very creative and imaginative. Beautiful so far!!!!!
interesting concept
I love the effects. I dont know how U got it like that, but came out very owesome. Love the water drops, very very kewl work. Owesome effects.
Very cool effect!!
Hey Mike you really had something going here with the reflections on the bubbles! I notice you haven't been posting images for a while! Isn't it about time??? LOL Excellent work!
