no matter how many good things one says ,one critique can make it all water under the bridge. if my comments sound dry and not descriptive, it is to avoid causing problems. I was asked also by another lovely person why I am not voting in my comments, since the artists here chose to put several of my posts in the hot 20. well, I am voting as much as ever, but I refuse to be accused of trading votes and the comments is not the place to vote as far as I know. I agree that it seems like some people maybe trading votes which is wrong, but I can only answer for myself. even when I answer for myself I often stick my foot in. I appreciate your comments and visit. I sincerely hope all are having a wonderful weekend. foto by me at Turtle creek, Highlandpark,Tx and I got one of the Cormorants with a huge frog in it's mouth and the legs are hanging out. Hmmm i am always puttin my foot in the rong place to Richard, never mind, we all get our wings torn off sometimes, beutiful scene, love the colors, as you know I live in a tropical area so miss all the colors of Autumn, love the water, so serene, and peace filled, a beutiful image, adore the colors. This is really pretty ... our fall colors are about gone now. :( too bad the colors dont last MONTHS longer! I do not know anything about trading votes, or whatever you said, and whatever that means lol I am not sure I want to know. Hi Richard, I think that's just fine that you keep your voting to yourself. I thought about that and really didn't know what the voting was actually voting for until recently. (stupid me) My guess was for the author of the month thing they have here. I still don't know how that one is done. I had no idea about the top twenty until someone said to me congratulations. Then I searched for it and it was hard to find because I never go to just the poser community. I always look through all the images that are posted a day... and that doesn't even really matter to me. Sure I was pleased about getting to to top twenty once. I had no idea and always wondered what people were talking about. LOL And not only that, I think that if people want comments they also need to take time out and comment on others works. They don't have to have favorites but to browse the gallery of all the new posts. And there are so many wonderful artists here at rendo yet to be discovered! So NO you didn't stick your foot in your mouth. In fact I like hearing people express these sort of things otherwise I'd not know if I was doing something wrong or not. Or if others feel the same way as I do or if they feel differently. I respect your opinion and your right to be heard by others. BRAVO!!! This is a gorgeous fall scene. I just love fall. This year it rained and rained during our peek. I was so disappointed. I wanted to take a ride through the mountains and take pictures. LOL I did take some pictures around my town but they're all on dreary days. Thank you so much for sharing!!! BIG HUGS!!! and I do love to say vote! Wonderful Autumn colors :) .. As to the commenting/ranking/voting ... I only vote if I really like something .. for me it has not been something put on automate or anything about swapping votes. I can stop showing if I am voting or not .. just thought it was honest and fair to the person to show what you are doing. If I see someone still a bit new .. improving and I feel they suddenly have done really well .. I want to vote and show them ... "pat on the back my friend you deserve a vote" .. but I can stop that if that is so terrible .. I do not care .. But actually I think I will continue doing what I have been doing .. Why should I change because some ppl think their way is best ? But actually I am not always showing if I vote or not. As for the rankings .. I have not really given it a thought .. I can turn that off too . . It means nothing to me - it is what ppl write that means something !! Nice shot Richard ! .. Really beautiful ::)
I love the photo Richard and I really love fall colours. At my last count I have over 150 favourites if I voted on everyone which I don't but I admit to voting a lot I have only ever received the maximum of 34 votes back which is not enough to knock the top ones off the number one spot anyway so what the hell is the point of trading votes lol! Do people really do that? How pathetic! Anyway instead of thinking what is the point of all this I carry on as I want to cause if soemthing blows me away or has really tried hard at something new. I vote and I don't give a you know what if people hate me or not. I got a few bad comments recently and I got so upset and then I thought why should I? It's a free country anyway you do what you want to do I am sure people adore your work anyway and just to be awkward and I do like it V Cathy xoxoxo
I always vote to encourage someone whose work I respect and that is the truth. I do this, because I respect the creativity of so many people, whether a fractal, poser or photgraphic artist. I am rarely disappointed by my favourite artists, whose work that I view, is worthy of a comment and I'd like to think, that I also have done as good as I am personally capable of, when people are kind enough to view mine. You create such beautiful fractals Richard and your flair for photography, is something I also respect. So, yes, I will vote! lol It's a free country and as long as what you see is pleasing, I think you should be perfectly entitled to show your appreciation and admiration, by voting. I love this photo!! It is very beautiful and I wish I were there!!! I seldom tell anyone when I vote. And I always forget to look in the Hot20 because mine seldom make it there. I just want people to enjoy.
