Thanks everyone for your kind comments and votes on my last post..so greatly appreciated!
I don't know what happened here..couldn't sleep..so got up and started painting at the puter...ive got this thing for 'color' as so many of you have graciously pointed out..and yes, i know mountains, and trees, are not 'really' this color..but when you can't sleep, you've had too much coffee, and your nerves are on edge....well, then, they can look like this! lol...!
Take care...and hope all who are in the range of Hurricane Rita are well prepared and safe...
cya all!
Peace...
Rob

Well since you going that psychedelic route; next time I got this suitable leaf KO/A, if you get my drift....BTW, I doubt it was 'desperate times' so much as an acute shortage of cannon fodder, yanno?
Oh Rob that's a real fantastic Bryce work with this so beautiful created landscape amd the lovely placed dragonfly! Excellent water effect and a fabulous color setting! Bravo!!! V
I want some of that coffee YOU are drinking! lol q-: Hey, I hope you are all hunkered down! That booger is headed your way. Gobs of evacuees here in San Antonio. Beautiful surreal landscape! I like the 'lone' tree on the island! V (:

Cool idea!
Excellent work! The large insect reminds me of a sith from the Barsoom series by Edgar Rice Burroughs ( Star Wars later borrowed the name hehe)
a truly beautiful serene place. The dragonfly adds a bit of needed life and action and still keeps the sense of otherworldliness. The colors and textures are fascinating! Whenever I can't sleep and play with Bryce I can't finish them in one night. How do you do that!?

Very well done ... and quite colorful too. What an excellent composition -- superb lighting, and it's mind expanding too. :-) Ken Kesey and the cool-aid acid guys would have loved this. I know that I do. Excellent! V
