After reading the new Harry Potter book I was inspired to create an image of Albus Dumbledore:)
So going back to my 2D roots I worked on this image on and off for about a week.
Image Progress
I will be spending more time working on 2D images, I have also ordered the stuff I need to start working on my pastel images again. I have really missed doing the pastel works.

Pure magic, Gina... I've only just finished the whole set and you have just brought Dumbledor to life!
Yes, you must enter this in Spectrum! (I like the editors and they always have great judges). Besides, that way I can get this in a book since I always buy them;-) The hair is very impressive but it's the phoenix that is my favorite.

you really drew this? its so lifelike! i thought it was a photograph at first lol well done, i love HP books :oD ~~xCx~~
Reminds me of the work of the FEMALE Master, Artemisia Gentilescu in the 18th century. Your use of the single light source is a direct homage to her work....I really think the gold filigree of his robe and his hair are beautiful, and the Attention to Detail of the wrinkles in his hand are wonderful. Very Well Done!!!!
What a fantastic piece of work. I take it you are a professional!
