Description
Chimers on the Methane Sea
Description: The "Chimers" are hydrogen breathing, methane drinking aliens from across the five galaxies. They are reclusive and enigmatic to humans. From a distant recon probe on one of their planets, here is a scene of what is assumed is a family gathering at some kind of on top of one of their dwellings on the edge of the Methane Sea.
One of the assumed children is attempting to feed one of the owl-bats that was passing by. The other yongster is aparently oblivious to all, except the machine it is tinkering with. Out on the sea, a passing ship hails them on land, which the 'Spacer Variant" Chimer, then returns the hail.
This vessel apparently collects certain hydro-carbons from the atmosphere with it's glowing sails. Be hind it is an Ethane 'water'fall into the Methane sea. Ethane is produced by sunlight in the upper atmosphere from evaporated methane. A flight of owl-bats fly at slower speeds and lower altitude than the Chimer shuttlecraft leaving a contrail.
The huge gas-giant primary, that the Chimer planet orbits, hangs swollen in the afternoon sunlight. Soon winter will come. It doesn't snow ethane, or methane, per se. There is a condensation of hydro-carbons, which flutter down like bright orange butter-flakes. We hope to find out what the Chimers do with these flakes.
