Description
Finally, I had time to try something new! As usual, I am my own model, using the timer on my camera. I cropped, resized, and changed the image to black and white using Adobe Photoshop.
I was hoping to capture an emotion, a story, a heartache.. As usual, I hope that you enjoy my work. Know that I value, as always, your comments and advice. (Taken August 9, 2005)

its beautiful truly atmospheric and romantic, excellently taken :)
beautiful portrait - even more as self portrait - think you got the mood...
It really conveys that sense of longing you were going after. The mood of the lighting suits it perfectly.Beautifully toned as well.Very well done!-M :)
Stefanie, you are an artist in all senses : as a photographer but also as an actress ! Excellent portrait "telling a story" ! Believable ! :~)
And what a fine model you picked. #;O) Beautiful photo with perfectly captured emotions. That expression on your face really says it all. You didnt even have to give it a title, it is still so obvious what you were going for with this one. Amazing piece of art that works sooooooooooo well in B/W!!! Great job! Have a wonderful evening, and hope he was just running late. #:O)
I agree with GIMI53, it is the first shot I see from you but the artistic feel is there, powerful and very efficient. I really love this shot for both emotional and technical reasons. The expression of the face, the pose and the symbolic as well as the light and the temper are delicate and subtle.
love the cape and the mood makes me think of a sea wife looking out of a house the coast waiting for a ship to return... this is really spectacular cause it tells a story ... wonderful work!
you are doing an excellent job having only yourself as model and never knowing what you catch ... I really like the mood of this picture
Wonderfully morose composition and excellent monochrome conversion! Well done!
What you do here is make it seem so dramatic. For you to be able to convey such emotion though art and photography is your natural talent.
Stefanie, this picture is what I would consider most amazing. The expression on your face speaks of real feelings. The picture, capturing the light amazingly well, has used shadows, and shading to help convey the overall message. A marvelous piece of work.
beautiful expression & longing ;] excellent tones
Pose and postwork are excellent - as is the light. Can't find anything to nag .. :-)
Nice capture, and he'd be a fool not to come home.
