You didn't think I was a city slicker, did you?
We have a HUGE garden and this is a small sample of what I get to do this summer!
Canning and freezing garden produce!
It is still sorta fun... hmmm.
Thanks to all for the comments on the Baby Robin pic...my first "wildlife" shot. I realize it's not Mutual of Omaha, but it's the closest I can get to shooting a pic of something that isn't nailed down!!
Thanks for looking!

I like this a lot!!!! Great and delicious shot :)))
yummy :) loads of veggies... ;) nice still life... ;)
nicely done!
I can remember, when I was a small kid, my mom used a pressure cooker to do canning. No air conditioning (not the good old days) and hellish steam on the stove. It was awful. But the canned sandhill plums were a delight in the middle of the winter, unavailable anywhere else as far as I know. You've got a beautiful shot here -- and hopefully a less-than-hellish process to look forward to.
Poor you!!! I sooooo nailed shut the door to our greenhouse. Cant for the life of me understand why you should go through all that trouble just for some tomatoes or cuecumber, LOL. Beautiful and original still life. It looks soooo classy with only that green colour together with the glass. Excellent work Jodie...and have fun "harvesting". #:O)

Wonderful still life. There are tricks to getting light behind the glass. Little purse mirrors, and other reflectors cut from paper to match the size and shape of the bottle and angled to the light source. That is how they get that nice tone in beer bottles and even Windex commercials.
