Very sad, I thought this would help, but it didn't. I'm glad I did it, anyway. I was blessed to have a conversation with Mr. Doohan once in Chattanooga for about 30 minutes after a autograph session at an electronics store, while he was waiting for a Limo to take him to a Sci-fi Con. He was promoting Star Trek II, dressed like this and was very gracious to a silly fan.

Well, it beats being stuck in a transporter buffer for 85 years... Thanks, John. I met him in Baltimore twenty years or so ago. One of the most personable of the original bridge crew, if a little ticked--rightly, I think--that $$people put words in his mouth without checking to see if they were appropriate. His hand startled me when we shook!

What a wonderful piece! I also got to hobknob for a day with one of the cast in person. George Takei. I did a sketch of him the night before a Sci-fi Con here at home. He signed it and the magazine that I used to sketch from. To coin two phrases into one... Live long and prosper. Make it so. ;-D
