Subject: model a room. single plane walls vs wall thickness?

MistyLaraCarrara ( ) posted Mon, 14 June 2021 at 3:49 AM · edited Thu, 06 June 2024 at 2:06 AM

back in my poser days, we worried bout light seepage.

i dont know what the current opinion on rooms is.

need wall thickness for a window sil. but means more polygons. what would you consider too many polies for a room?

thanks/

when I first started with carrara light leaks were a thing - I have never experienced them in recent memory though just do a test ;)

If the room is modeled with planes then I make sure the corners overlap slightly, the floor raised slightly to intersect the walls and ceiling lowered to prevent leakage
