Subject: Creature Creator for Poser?

Howdy, all

I'm in the position of wanting to create a couple of female characters (for different serieses of mine) with catlike (or similar; I've heard the expression 'dogleg' too) legs. It'd be nice if I could replace the legs on the female figure with the animal legs; but I want to animate these things, not just take stills.

Years back there was a program (IIRC) called Creature Creator that featured all kinds of creaturey add-ons, and again IIRC it had those legs; don't know if they were props or animatable. Googling calls up nothing recent per se. Went to Daz3d and looked, and they've got both a Creature Creator and an Add-On pack with the legs I'm after. Sadly, that one is only for DS, and as I loathe DS it's not an option. There's another one (a Harpie fem for V4) that I also could've used, but again, DS only. Peh. Looked here at Renderosity. Searching for Creature Creator got me 20-something results, none of which had any relevance to the search term (and making me wonder about Ren's internal search engine...) and _Harpie _got me 0 results.

So I guess question one might be "is the author of Creature Creator for Poser still offering it?" Question 2 could be "does anyone know of morphs (for Poser) for female characters that would give them animal legs (cat/dog/horse/whatever-the-proper-term-is)?" and "if so, are they offered here at Renderosity?"

If I have to construct my own morphs to do it I'll certainly try it; probably learn things that way. But if it's already out there in some usable form, I might could let someone else do the work and me just drive. :)

Thanks, all.

Davey

There is still the M4/V4 Creature Creator at DAZ which is for both Poser and DS, maybe try searching again?

You were not specific for which model you intend to use with Creature Creator. Kalypso has mentioned the Michael 4/Victoria 4 Creature Creator by DAZ3D which is still available for both DAZStudio and Poser. I am not aware of a similar package created for any other model; the only exceptions are the products developed for the DAZ Genesis series which are exclusively DS only. Some creature morphs might be transferable from DS to Poser for Genesis/Genesis 2 through the DSON Importer.

This is Genesis Female imported into Poser through DSON Importer with the Anubis leg morphs already installed from DS.

Thanks, all. Appreciate the pointers.

hborre: Is that figure animatable (in the legs), or just a statue? Remember, I want this for vids, not for stills. Still, that looks pretty much exactly what I'm after. Also, you're right; I dropped the ball on figure in question. For the most part, I avoid using V4 or M4, just because they don't fit what I see the characters looking like (I default to mods of TY2 and Aiko, with a few other less-big models like Stephanie backing them up). I figured I'd need to just sigh and use V4 for these characters just because no one makes fun mods like that for any character _but _V4/M4. Hmmm. Are the Anubis leg morphs included in DS? Or a separate purchase? searchsearchsearch Think I found the "Anubis for Genesis Female" thing. Interesting. Thanks for the pointer. I may still have DS on my system. The DSON importer never worked, but I can always uninstall and reinstall and see if that fixes _that _problem.

Kalypso: After about ten minutes of search attempts--Daz' search engine needs work--I think I found what you were speaking of. Unfortunately, the author didn't list a single specific morph, and $20, while not much in the grand scheme of things, is a lot for something that might not have what I need. sigh Nor can I find any way of contacting the author ("DAZ Originals") to ask about that morph. double sigh Might spring for it anyway. Guarantee I wouldn't use everything, but it might have other things I could use. Thanks for pointing me (back) in that direction.

Yes, the figure should be animatable because the legs are actual morphs of the base mesh. I haven't tried animating Genesis in Poser yet and there maybe someone out there that has succeeded in doing so. The importing of Genesis and Genesis 2 into Poser has been worked out, so there shouldn't be any problem work with the figures.

heck I never really succeeded in getting the DSON importer to work on my mac for any version Of Poser and I had DAZ tech support walking me through it forever also w/o success. Hope you can get it to work that way but I have had great success with the creature creator add-on packs for Mi2, Mil3 and Mil4 DAZ figures directly within Poser.

Also Sparky at PhilosophersEgg has many really cool Anthro morphs for Mil 4 figures including K4 and they work great with Creature creator Add-on lower lower body/legs packs for them. Should check them out...worth the money if you need good (better than the DAZ creature morphs) anthro figures. Sparky did create a new experimental figure the WereWolf figure based on M4 which i have used in Poser it it works great. it is a complete single mesh figure that also allows for the use of M4 morphs. In playing with it I also added female morphs for M4 and then did the beast werewolf conversion and got a perfectly useable female version I could actually use the V4 Karina Gen pack for on without any trouble. What I failed to test was the other breast morphs and face morphs for V4 to see if I could get more feminine faces but work the try. Have fun playing.

There were some Morph packs for M4/V4 fore Werewolves that created the retrograde legs in the market - I am unsure where these would be now. Sparky over at Philosophersegg has lots of Animal morphs for the M4/V4 line and may have a pack with the legs you seek too - it's definitely worth a look.

..and there's a safe non saving demo here... https://download.cnet.com/Creature-Creator-Pro/3001-2186_4-10330499.html

though to be straight it's showing it's age and for that kinda money you could get Real Illusion's Character Creator 3.

R'osity also used to sell a set of body parts, either in 3ds or OBJ format, very low poly, called monster something or other.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.
