This upper aniimation group seems wierd to me. I don't recal having it before this latest update to C8.5. I did some testing and wondered why I don't have it for all my G1 characters. I don't because you only get the animation group opening G1 from the Studio folder; not even going to try to guess what they are calling the content folder this month. Characters I have worked on; like selecting what UVmap to use, and saved out as DUF from studio, does not have this upper animation group. {which I have yet figured out what the purpose of is}.

So far the only diference I see is smart props don't vanish, hair still does, and smart props don't stay attached. So I really see no purpose of it. You will need a DAZ dev/tech to come on and explane it, but I just don't see that happening.

I still don't get why no one has asked on the DAZ forum why "hair" hair and smart props vanish from G1 on posing. Well there may have been but we would never know, not with the excesive censoring that goes on on the DAZ forum. I mean if word got out carraraests might stop buying hair and smart props

Note: This is not an issue in Studio.

Thanks, Stanley. I was hoping that someone from DAZ would be able to give the reason, but the answer didn't fully convince me. Still, I can see some benefit in it, even if it is not actually required.  Thanks to Haed Wax for letting me know about this thread!

Well I ain't there now. Kinda wonder if it wasn't some premtive thing, because they know I would have went on a rip about the C8.5 pricing.

None the less, I played around and found no reason for the extra group.

I'm still waiting for a report from someone that has worked with the beta about what was fixed in the release; if anything.

Can some one tell linvanchene yes. Just export from the last frame as .obj.
