I did so a seach before posting this thread but sometimes when you don't know how to ask the right question....,

Anyhow, I would like to please get some help with importing Daz/Poser models from Carrara into Softimage.

I have decided that i am at a crossroads. i have already done a long form 3d film in Carrara and I am looking to do another project soon. I was thinking of getting into Softimage this time around have done MANY hours of tutorials. Now What i would like to figure out is how to import m4 morphed daz models from carrara into Softimage.

the Best I can do so far is get a dressed M4 Morhped model into Softimage 2011 but its all grey and the eyelashes are messed up. I don't understand how to apply the textures or what export setting from C8 are appropriate and i have been trying and failing terribly for some time now.

Please and thanks

UPDATE

SO I used the free version of Daz Studio 4 and my Daz assets to make the same charater model with clothing and hair.

I did a Collada output using the XSI preset and changed nothing else.

Then I imported into Softimage 2012 using Crosswalk with no changes to the settings.

now the model looks great but when I do an area render the model is not seen but the hair is visible......,

What gives?
