 I'm getting fustrated, I've looked on youtube, I've read the manuel, but I just cant get hair(tool)object to render in Carrara 7. My objects show stubble and looks like a shadow is being cast, but no hair! The youtube video makes it look like it should be easy.

Sorry , If i could remove this post i would. Problem resolved after I decided to reinstall carrara 7.2
two days of searching for an answer solved in two minutes lol

Sometimes you can reset your preferences, but this is a little annoyng because you will need to add all your folders again like shaders, objects and runtimes.
