I've searched for an answer to this, but all I've found is  a whole bunch of people asking the same question.
I have, but never use, Bryce6.1. I use almost exclusively C6pro.
I would really like to be able to use this weeks freebie from DAZ3D, the Indian Summer motorcycle in Carrara, but it's only provided in Bryce format.
I downloaded the model, 'cause it's free, but am I gonna be able to export the motorcycle in usable format and condition? If not, then I don't want to waste disc space by installing Bryce.
I appreciate any guidance on this, and I'll try to pass along to others.

I tried to export one object and look that some objects have the rights protected and you cant export it. I dont know if this will happen to the freebie...

Hmm. I knew that that kind of thing is going on with Vue objects, but I didn't know about it in Bryce. Thanks for the advice.

If anyone knows any different, especially in this particular case, please chime in.

Yes I am curious about this too. Maybe in future they create a integration between Carrara and Bryce... maybe

I downloaded the files and tried the obvious imports, etc. No luck. Too bad, since that model motorcycle means a lot to some people I know. They would have enjoyed being 'shopped into the scene.
I do have Bryce, so maybe it will get done anyway. This set is an awesome freebie! It comes in 2 parts, over 80 MB EACH! Don't hit the download key until you are ready for a break.

I wish there was an importer, converter or plug in to allow Carrara to accept Bryce files.  Same for Vue files.  I hate going through the load it into Bryce, export as another file type then import that into Carrara.  Items tend to lose a lot in the translation.
