Subject: Switching poser characters while retaining position/poses-possible?

I was wondering; in C6Pro, is it possible to replace a poser cr2 file in a scene with another while retaining the x/y/z position and pose of the original cr2?  Kinda like how in poser it gives you the option of replacing the old character or adding the new character to the scene.
