I'm not sure if this is part of Carrara 6 or if I inadvertently turned this on with a plug in but I appear to have a "Splat" on the Insert menu between infinite plane and spline object.

Anyone know what it is and what you can do with it?

Hehehe, splat its a new obscure feature. It isa kind of bilboard object that always point to the camera. The problem is that we cant see it in openGL preview.
